Pure Busselton Water

About Us       

Busselton Water is a public self-funding statutory authority and is administered by the Busselton Water Board, the members of which are appointed by the Governor in Executive Council.  Members serve on the Board for a three-year term and are eligible for re-appointment at the conclusion of a term.  Approximately one third of the membership retire each year.  The Board appoints its own Chairperson.

The functions and duties of Busselton Water are set out in the Water Boards Act 1904 (as amended) and the Reporting Standards are detailed in the Financial Management  Act  2006 (as amended).

The Board holds an Operating Licence issued by the Water Services Planning Branch Policy under the Water Services Coordination Act 1995.  The licence is valid until 1 October 2021.
