Support families in need – donate via Busselton Water

Busselton Water is seeking donations of school supplies to support Tuart House again this year. Tuart House is a local crisis accommodation and support service for women and children who are at imminent risk of homelessness as a result of family and domestic violence in Busselton.

Statistics show that approximately one in every five West Australian women has experienced at least one incident of violence by an intimate partner and almost two thirds of assaults in Western Australia last year were related to family and domestic violence.

Donate school supplies – Nov to Jan

Between November and January, we will be collecting school supplies from the community via a donation box at our Admin Centre on Fairbairn Road.

We’re calling for donations of:

  • Coloured pencils
  • Textas
  • Pens
  • Lunch boxes and drink bottles
  • School hats
  • Pencil cases
  • General stationery items
  • Backpacks

All donations must be brand new and unopened.

Donate toiletries – Mar to May

A separate donation box for toiletries will be in our Admin Centre between March and May for the community to give a gift of necessity to women and children facing imminent risk of homelessness.

We’re calling for donations of:

  • Bath towels and flannels
  • Soaps and body wash
  • Body moisturiser
  • Roll-on deodorant (no aerosols)
  • Hair brushes
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Dental products (toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss)

All donations must be brand new and unopened.

All year round – What else can I donate?

Financial donations can be made to Tuart House via the collection box on the counter of Busselton Water’s customer service desk at our Admin Centre on Fairbairn Road.  All customer donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Busselton Water.

Thank you to all the local community members who donated school supplies and toiletries to support Tuart House in 2019.

Together we provided more than 230 school supplies and close to 100 toiletries to women and children in need.
