Watering days

Watering days

Water efficiency measures are currently in place across Western Australia to help conserve our precious water resources. This includes a permanent watering day roster scheme and a winter sprinkler switch off. Water efficiency measures affect all water users including people who use scheme water, those who have their own bore, as well as businesses and Government users.

Two-day watering roster from 1 September to 31 May

Currently, a two-day sprinkler roster is in place over the spring and summer months. During this period, there are specific days each week when you are able to water your garden. Use the water roster calculator below to find your allocated days based on your house or lot number or print out this handy roster guide and stick it on your fridge.

Gardens can only be watered once on your allocated days. Please schedule your sprinklers and reticulation before 9am or after 6pm.

The water roster does not apply to garden bores. Domestic garden bore users are permitted to water once a day, before 9am or after 6pm, every day.

Water restrictions do not apply to systems where recycled or grey water is being used.

To find your watering days, take the last digit of your house number and apply it to the water roster e.g. 12 Rose Street – last digit of your house number is 2. Unit 3, 355 Rose Street – last digit of your house number is 5. If your property does not have an assigned house number please use the last digit of your lot number.
