Schools in action

Not a waterwise school but would still love to get involved and teach students about the importance of water?

Throughout the year Busselton Water runs a range of campaigns and competitions with activities are perfectly suited to school groups and classes. Keep an eye out on our website or contact us to register for notifications of these campaigns.

Previous examples include:

Save the little drops – activity challenge

In 2019, we challenged our younger water users to find the eight ways they could save little drops around the home. You can download your own copy of the activity sheet here.

The value of water

As part of 2018’s National Water Week activity, community members of all ages told us why water was important to them. From the vital importance it provides for growth and life to the need for water to keep the water cycle flowing, we received 260 great reasons to value water. What’s yours? You can download your own copy of the activity sheet here.

Colouring competition

As part of the 2017-18 summer waterwise campaign, children aged 13 and under were provided the opportunity to colour in a super hero and tell us three ways they could save water.

Canvas your Culture art competition

The art competition and subsequent exhibition at Railway House (Busselton Visitor Centre), was held to mark 2017 National Water Week. Class groups from seven primary and five high schools created artworks inspired by the theme – ‘Water – the Heart of our Culture’.
