16 Days in WA

Today marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and the start of 16 Days in WA, with this years theme being ‘Don’t be silent when you see violence’.

Busselton Water staff will wear their orange shirts (the global campaign colour) during the 16 days in WA and throughout the year to create awareness, sparking conversations about what you can do to help prevent violence against women.

The team at Busselton Water heard from Tuart House Outreach Advocate, Sue Meacock, about the impacts of family and domestic violence has on the community at a special morning tea that was held the morning of the 25 November 2021.

Busselton Water is continuing their support for Tuart House with a donation drive for linens including, bed sheets, pillows, face washers and doonas. If you want to contribute to the drive click here for information.

Support is available if you or someone you know is experiencing family and domestic violence. For a comprehensive list of State and national helplines, please visit the Family and Domestic Violence support and advice page. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call 000.
