Busy half of the year for Busselton Water

It’s been a busy first half of the 2019-20 financial year for Busselton Water with several highlights including the completion of a number of operations projects, improvements to customer services and recognition of our business operations.

More specifically these include:

  • the expansion of our water network including the connection of a new bore and pipeline;
  • connection of 96 new properties to the water network;
  • detection of leaks in the network thanks to a partnership with LeakSearch;
  • introduction of SMS notifications to customers;
  • implementation of an action plan based on feedback received from our customer survey;
  • increased functionality of MyBusseltonWater, an online customer account management tool;
  • ongoing strong engagement with our Customer Advisory Group;
  • commencement of eight new community partnerships;
  • introduction of an environmental initiative, the BYO Bottle campaign;
  • work to raise awareness of the impacts of domestic violence through the 16 Days in WA campaign and helping local families at Tuart House;
  • an increase in our water efficiency programs, including a school pilot program at Busselton Senior High School;
  • completion of a United Nations Sustainable Develop Goals art competition with local schools;
  • celebration of National Water Week with a mascot naming competition and display at the local shopping centre;
  • increased waterwise education with the ‘Two Buckets’ summer campaign;
  • recognition at the Busselton Chamber of Commerce and Industry Awards; and
  • celebration of safety record with four years lost time injury free.
