High fives all round at Busselton Water

Busselton Water’s Customer Advisory Group (CAG) has marked five years of collaboration and consultation with the local water provider by welcoming six new members at a milestone event.

Busselton Water CEO Chris Elliott said the 21 past and present CAG members have provided invaluable advice on all aspects of the business since first meeting in October 2013.

“Over the years we’ve had an incredible amount of participation and guidance from our Customer Advisory Group members about our major projects, services and campaigns – they’re the touchstone by which we measure what really matters to our customers,” Mr Elliott said.

“The group’s members have included former engineers, school teachers, landscapers, resident and business group leaders, householders, local business owners, Councillors and many others – which has always delivered enormous diversity in feedback and opinions,” he said.

Current CAG member Don Elston said he has thoroughly enjoyed his time as part of the group so far and is looking forward to further contributions he can make.

“I joined CAG because I wanted to contribute to protecting our water supply.”

“I find the tours of the major projects and plants interesting and I always have so many ideas I like to bring to the table,” Mr Elston said.

The Customer Advisory Group works closely with the Busselton Water Board and senior executive team and plays a key role in helping to shape the corporation’s future plans, enabling Busselton Water to stay in close touch with the needs of our community.

“Forging strong, two-way relationships with our customers is vital for us to maintain a customer-centric business,” Mr Elliott said.

“We’re committed to engaging with our customers, and maintaining a great relationship with our Customer Advisory Group is foremost in achieving that,” he added.

The group meets twice a year with a thought-provoking program that included field trips, prominent guest speakers, presentations, workshops and lively discussion.
